of Phytophthora cinnamomi in Ecosystems
Conduciveness of the soils of the South Coast region of Western Australia to infection by Phytophthora cinnamomi
Key Participants: Dr Chris Dunne, Colin Crane and Adjunct Assoc. Prof. Bryan ShearerThe soils from the south coast of Western Australia are being tested for their conduciveness to infection of Banksia baxterii by Phytophthora cinnamomi. Soils included in the study include those from the Fitzgerald River National Park, Stirling Range National Park and Gull Rock National Park. The data collected in the glasshouse trial will be used to model the impacts of the disease in different soil types and plant communities across the south coast of WA.
